Three different dimensions
Do not use one number for the whole entrance.
Clear opening is the unobstructed route. Outer structure is the visible truss width and height. Total footprint includes every base, tower, brace, ballast zone, cable route, barrier and installation clearance.
For a tunnel, add clear usable length. For a vehicle gantry, also map the complete approach, turning and exit path. Width × height is the default order throughout this website.

Entrance safety boundary
Visible size never replaces route and load setup.
Do not position bases, braces, ballast, cables, fixtures or projecting décor inside the required route. Outdoor banners and scenic skins change wind-facing area. Vehicle entrances need controlled speed, marshals, physical separation and verified clearance for every authorised vehicle.

Questions before choosing an arch.
What is a standard entrance arch size?
There is no universal standard. An 8–12 ft clear pedestrian opening is a useful early reference, but the event route, crowd, venue, branding and support footprint determine the real size.
Does the quoted arch size include the bases?
Usually a customer-facing size describes the visible or clear opening. Ask for the total outer width, height and depth including towers, bases, braces, ballast and barriers.
How is a truss tunnel measured?
Use clear internal width × clear internal height × usable length, then provide the total site space around it for supports, cables, scenic surfaces, ventilation and emergency access.
How high should a vehicle entrance be?
Do not choose from a generic height. Provide the largest authorised vehicle dimensions, mirrors, roof-mounted equipment, suspension or ground-clearance effects and the complete travel path.
Can the arch carry a full printed banner?
The print material, dimensions, permeability, attachment and outdoor exposure must be included from the beginning. A solid or partly clad face changes wind-facing area.
What changes the entrance truss price?
Clear opening, total footprint, height, number of bays, truss system, support method, print or scenic treatment, lighting or LED, outdoor requirements, access, crew time, transport and duration all affect price.
